 Welcome

Welcome to our first seasonal newsletter! On your journey of buying a house, you used us for a home inspection. Our inspection told you a lot about the condition of the house and items that needed to be fixed. Now you’re probably living in your house and another aspect becomes important, maintaining your house. Throughout the year, your house has to deal with a lot of different weather situations. To make sure your house is ready for every season, we provide this newsletter with a checklist. Our motto is clients for life. So what can you expect? Information about our business, the checklist, and a blog by a professional in the home buying business. Feel free to forward this email to anybody who might be interested.

Summer is our busy season, but we would like to stand still and celebrate Mike Hoyt’s 2nd year working for us. Read more about him below. In addition, we have been working with HomeGauge for 2 years now, and we’re really pleased about that. HomeGauge is the software we use to write the report after the home inspection. It makes it possible for you and your realtor/attorney to view the report online. This shortens the time you wait for the report, and helps you negotiate your deal.

Then there’s only one thing left to say, enjoy reading this newsletter and celebrate summer!

What’s for dinner?

   Corn
Take a look at the checklist below to avoid situations like this in your gutters. It’s a corn stalk growing from the corner of a porch roof. Nobody wants their dinner growing in the gutter.

When you’re buying a home, it is important to choose good professionals. One of these professionals should be a real estate attorney. An attorney can help explain what’s happening during the process, act as your advocate and prepare you for decisions you’ll need to make. He or she will scrutinize a contract to make sure it’s in your interest and accompany you to the closing.
The practice of law is increasingly specialized, just like the practice of medicine or any other profession.  When buying or selling real estate, it pays to hire a professional well versed in the nuances of this legal area.  The law offices of James F. Foley, Esq., has devoted its resources to real estate law for ten years.  In these challenging times, it will pay to have a legal professional devoted to both you and your transaction.
